# U-Line interior lighting and BrightShield repair

What this involves

Sabbath mode and the light switch ruled out first

The actuator bracket the manual names, adjusted

Color and brightness settings checked on current models

The two rows the maker prints for this

A light that does not illuminate on a cooling unit may be Sabbath mode. A light that stays on with the door closed wants the switch off if fitted, and the actuator bracket on the bottom of the door adjusted.

Then the switch, by door type

Reed switch and magnet on glass doors, plunger on solid. The same part that drives the door alert drives the light, so the two problems arrive together.

Then the strip itself

LED strips are a part and a route rather than a repair. On the current controls the brightness, the color and the on-after-close timer are all settings, and one of them is the answer more often than a failed strip.

And the antimicrobial module where fitted

BrightShield is a light, and when it is off the appliance still cools perfectly. Worth knowing before it becomes an emergency.
