# U-Line water inlet valve and supply repair

What this involves

Flow measured, not assumed from the tap

Filter age treated as a real variable

The line checked for the kink a reinstall leaves

Start at the shut-off

Behind or under a built-in machine, and closed during other work more often than anybody admits. It costs nothing to check and it is the answer surprisingly often.

Then the filter

A filter does not fail, it slows. A machine that makes less ice each month rather than stopping is describing a filter.

Then the line

The manual warns during installation not to pull or bend the hose. A machine slid out for cleaning and pushed back is exactly how a kink arrives.

Then the valve and the level sensing

If water is arriving and the machine still says it is not, the inlet valve or the level sensing in the reservoir is next, and that is the part of this job that needs a visit.
