Where this number actually lives
Not on your display. Every U-Line manual that carries a code table says the same sentence: all errors are logged in memory, and only the door error is displayed and has an audible signal. So unless this is a door, you will not see it — it is in an error log reached by holding a hidden key for ten seconds and scrolling to the log option. That is worth knowing before you spend an evening looking for a number the appliance was never going to show you.
What to do about it
- Close the door properly and watch whether the alert clears. Closing it silences the tone and resets the alert; if the display keeps showing it with the door shut, the switch or its magnet is the problem, not the door.
- Look at what the door is actually meeting. On an undercounter unit the usual answer is a bottle rack, a bin pushed out one position too far, or a drawer front that has dropped — not the seal.
- Check the gap against the cabinetry around it. These units are built in, and a run of cabinetry that has moved a few millimeters will hold a door open in a way nobody sees.
