The plate is inside the cabinet — on the upper right wall or on the rear wall behind the bin — and it carries a model number and a serial number. Send both. On this make the model number is not decoration: it is the only thing that says which control board is in front of you, and the two boards in this catalog do not report their errors the same way at all.
Read the number in three parts. The first letters are the family — UR is a refrigerator, UH the Seamless build, UO an outdoor cabinet, UACR and UMCR the compact ones. The digits are the width in inches: 115 and 124 are the 1 Class at fifteen and twenty-four inches, 515, 518 and 524 are the 5 Class. The last letters are the door and the finish. Two cabinets that look identical behind matching panels are often different classes taking different parts, and only the plate separates them.
The list on this page is the current US line as the maker publishes it: 76 models — 25 refrigerators, 17 wine coolers, 16 beverage centers, 10 ice makers, 6 ice machines and 2 convertible freezers. Twenty of them are out of production and stay listed on purpose, because a cabinet built into a kitchen here in 2009 is still a cabinet somebody needs repaired. Twenty-six are outdoor units and four more are the Marine series at 230V, which in South Florida is not an edge case — it is a good part of why people buy this make. Six are ADA height.
Which class you own decides how the appliance reports a problem. The 1 Class and 5 Class log fifteen numbered errors in memory and show you only the door; the 3000 Series does the opposite and writes its errors on the display in words — No Comm, Zone T Open, Temp Hi 12H+. The Home and Seamless boards keep a service menu whose own manual points at an appendix the document does not contain, so nobody can decode those from paper, us included. That is why the first question on a call is the model number rather than what the display says.
If your number is not listed, it is almost certainly an earlier generation rather than an omission, and we repair those too. Send the model and serial off the plate and a line about what the cabinet is doing, and we will tell you what we are bringing to Miami.
